Spioenkop Lodge
is located close to Spioenkop in the Battlefields area of Natal Central in South Africa.

Situated on a 7 square kilometre private wildlife reserve around 3km to the south-east of the historic battlefield, this beautifully restored colonial farmhouse, was the site of General Buller's headquarters during the relief of the Ladysmith. There are twelve guest rooms, a library, bistro, cosy pub and pool.

Activities include guided battlefield tours, sunset cruises on the lake, vehicle safari, birding, hiking, river-rafting and fishing.

Spionkop Lodge is a lovely and authentic option, whose owners are passionate about what they do. It might even be worth considering as a base for exploring the distant Drakensberg Mountains.
