, also known as Doubletree Resort and Spa by Hilton Hotel Seychelles Allamanda
, is located in the Seychelles
The Seychelles is a group of islands in the Indian Ocean around 2000km from the coast of Kenya. Mahe is the main island in the group and home to the international airport.
Set on Anse Forbans beach to the southeast of the island, Allamanda Resort is a relatively modest hotel which is aimed mainly at younger couples.
The hotel has lounge and dining areas on the ground floor, leading out to a swimming pool above the beach. There is also a spa and gym.
Guest accommodation is in 20 rooms on the three floors above.
Activities include swimming, tennis, kayaking, paddle-boarding, sailing, diving, snorkelling and turtle-hatching. Day trips around the island are also possible.
The main potential downsides at Allamanda Resort are the busy nature of other parts of the island, the inappropriate architecture, the modest range of facilities, the slightly corporate feel of the place and the slight potential for adverse weather Nov/Apr.
