Tawi Lodge
is located in the Amboseli area of Southeast Kenya.

Amboseli is an iconic safari area, there are few better known landscapes than the classic image of elephants and giraffes crossing vast open plains against a backdrop of the snows of Mount Kilimanjaro.

This relatively upmarket lodge is situated on a 60 square kilometre private concession just outside the eastern gate of the main reserve. It has pleasant public areas, a small spa, a nice swimming pool and views out over a waterhole where elephants can often be viewed at close quarters. Guest accommodation is in just 12 rather nice cottages with views of the mountain and butler service.

Activities are centred on vehicle safari both on the conservancy and into the reserve, supplemented with walking safari, camel safari and cultural interactions.

The main potential downside is the vehicle high traffic that can be experienced inside the main reserve during the Jul/Sep high season, with the lodge being situated outside the busy eastern gate. Additionally much lower wildlife densities are experienced during the Nov/May green season as the animals disperse across the surrounding grasslands.
