is located in the Cape Town
area in the Western Cape
region of South Africa
Situated right out on its own on the waterfront below the dramatic Chapman's Peak Road across from Hout Bay on the Atlantic coast 15km south of Cape Town
, this rather unusual lodge offers very high-end accommodation to discerning guests.
Stylish public areas include cosy lounges and a restaurant with an open kitchen. All areas lead out onto decks just above the ocean, where drinks and meals are served depending on the conditions ... in fine weather sunsets can be glorious and when the Atlantic gets angry the lodge closes in on itself to become a cosy and atmospheric retreat.
The 13 guest rooms are themed after various islands around the world and are all well-appointed and decorated with humour.
Tintswalo Atlantic is a very difficult place to get your head around. Whilst being a typically chic Cape Town
hideout, it is also unusually exposed to the elemental forces of nature. In some ways it really is quite magical. But pricey.
