Tswalu Game Reserve extends over an enormous 1000 square kilometres of Kalahari sandveld, a wonderful private wilderness which contains an excellent range of wildlife, notably including the classic black-mane lions, cheetahs, wild-dogs, caracals and aardvarks. The area is shared by just two small lodges.
This particular lodge is centred on a main house which contains lovely lounge, dining and library areas, as well as a spa and pool. The six gorgeous brick-and-thatch rooms each have decks overlooking a waterhole.
Activities include vehicle safari, walking safari and horse-back safari.
Tswalu Motse is a truly high-class operation which delivers an elegant and very special wilderness experience. Almost certainly the best non-malarial safari experience on the continent. The lodge also welcomes children of all ages, which makes it a fantastic choice for a truly upmarket family safari.
Access is usually by light aircraft from either Cape Town
