Ubuntu Kusini Camp
is located in the Southwest Sector
of the Serengeti
in Northern Tanzania
It is a high specification mobile tented option set in the important Kusini area and is open start December to end March, when the main migration is often in the area. It is a very pleasant camp, with eight guest tents, elegantly presented and genially hosted. It is also relatively well priced. Activities are centred on daytime vehicle safari, with off-road driving permitted. Some limited walking safari may also be possible.
The main potential downsides at Ubuntu Kusini Camp are that it is relatively simple compared with other top options in the area, activities are effectively limited to daytime vehicle safari only and fly-in guests are often asked to share vehicles whilst out on safari. The camp is also open to vehicles from other safari companies, which can reduce the sense of intimacy. There is also the potential for very high visitor traffic in the nearby Ndutu area and adverse weather conditions during the main migration season.UpsidesDownsidesSeasonsPricesTrips
