West Kilimanjaro
is a remote and little-visited safari area which is situated to the north of Mount Meru in Tanzania Northeast.

This safari area which is famous for its stunning views of over Mount Kilimanjaro. It experiences much lower visitor numbers than the better known Amboseli, over on the Kenya side of the border and combines much more easily with Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The are contains some interesting and relatively upmarket accommodation options, most of which offer an unusually broad range of activities.

The main potential downsides in this area are that is to peripheral for most visitors, the wildlife densities are quite low, the land is shared with local herders and domestic stock and it is rather expensive.
